Veethree Technologies, a Poole manufacturer of marine digital displays and gauges, has announced two new team members.

The global expert in CAN gauge and display technologies has appointed Jon Newman as Business Development Manager and Laurence Jenkins as Business Development Executive.

Jon comes from a background of electronics and software and joins the team with almost 25 years of sales experience.

Laurence has five years of sales experience in the technology sector.

The new recruits are joining at a significant time for the company, formerly CANtronik.

Last year it united with the Veethree brand, a global group of companies with more than 1,000 employees across four continents.

Since then, Veethree Technologies has invested significantly in training and growing the team, with new hires including engineers, a graphic designer and additions to the sales team.

The company has six vacancies to fill in 2020 as demand for its products increases.

Neil Campbell, General Manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jon and Laurence to our team at an exciting time for our business, and off the back of an outstanding 2019 in which we saw a 28 per cent increase in turnover.”

“With them on board, we will continue to work towards further expansion and business development goals, with plans for the coming year including new staff, new customers and business growth, and bringing to market yet more innovative products, and potentially new and improved premises as well.”

James Miller and Tom Murphy, pictured right, have gained their ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification and are now Chartered Certified Accountants.

Having joined Inspire straight from school in 2014, James has successfully progressed through the firm, gaining his AAT qualifications prior to his ACCA status.

This year, Tom will celebrate three years at Inspire, having worked for the firm for a year’s placement during his degree before graduating from Bournemouth University.

They join a growing team of qualified accountants, who are committed to providing a highly personalised, supportive service to clients.

Chris Downing, Inspire Director, pictured left, said: ‘’Both James and Tom contribute an enormous amount to Inspire.

Bournemouth-based ASfB was established in 2002 and provides outsourced accountancy services to clients based across the UK and internationally, ranging from start-up enterprises to large businesses.

He will now be working closely with ASfB’s experienced accountants, developing his knowledge through hands-on client experience as he works towards further professional qualifications.

Josh said: “I’ve always been interested in business and economics and since completing my A-levels my ambition has been to become a chartered accountant.

“What really appealed to me about ASfB is that it’s a small team with a wide variety of clients, so there’s huge potential for me to learn.”

Bonita Wood, Head of Practice at ASfB, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Josh to the team.

“His enthusiasm and commitment is fantastic and he’s already proving to be a great asset.

“We’re sure he’s going to go far and look forward to supporting his progression.”
