Carol de Padua loves organising – and helping people.
She also believes that your welfare starts at home.

As she says: “If your home is clean and organised, other elements of your life will follow.”
Mix it all together and you have her business, Carol Gets It Right.
A professional and bespoke organising service for home and businesses.
Not just dedicated to decluttering your home but, if required, organising your personal and business life as well.
Carol, 35, said: “I like to organise, that’s my skill, and I like to help people.
“I have always felt passionate about organising spaces.
“My previous career in business management helped solidify that natural skill.
“It led the way to starting my own professional organiser business.
“I’m helping people transform their homes and work spaces so they are able to live in a healthier and safer environment.”

Originally from Brazil, Carol moved to the UK six years ago, relocating from London to Bournemouth in January 2022.
Carol Gets It Right was founded two years earlier and, says Carol, has helped transform the lives of clients.
Her services include:
Fees are quoted on an individual project basis but work out at between £30-£50 an hour.
Carol said: “A client may have a bedroom, kitchen or office where there is a mess.
“They call me and say: ‘I cannot find anything’ or ‘I have too much stuff and I need to declutter’.
“We go through things one by one.
“I ask them: ‘What do you like?’ and if they don’t like it then there’s no reason to have it.

“I then separate by category and colours.”
Carol also helps clients organise their personal and business lives – and emotion can often play a big part.
She said: “I analyse the whole situation and create a board and say ‘look, these are the things I think you should improve.’
“I look at everything and then the client does the whole week as we set it out.
“Often divorce or the loss of someone is involved.
“I am out of the situation and not emotionally involved and, therefore, I can help more.
“I don’t just want to be a professional organiser who organises clothes or a wardrobe and makes things beautiful and then leave.
“Instead I want to help with everything.
“I want to help people live better.”

Among her clients has been Dr Anna Farthing, pictured right, Director of Civic and Cultural Engagement at AUB (Arts University Bournemouth).
She said: “When I moved to Southbourne I had to work out where to put the contents of a family house as well as the archives of my creative business while working full time, including many evenings and weekends, in a new job.
“After a few months of living among the boxes I realised that I needed help.
“Carol and her team have been absolutely brilliant in helping to organise and rationalise my domestic, business and creative items so that there is now a place for everything.
“Her skills in designing both the process and the methods of organisation, together with her compassionate and understanding manner, would suit anyone having to ‘deal with things’ following a divorce or a bereavement as well as a house or business move.
“I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
Carol said her future expansion plans included creating a dedicated team.
She said: “I’m naturally organised but I understand everyone is different.
“What I do is a big relief to people and they start to smile again.
“I find myself getting emotional because I remember what the client was like at the beginning and how they are at the end.
“Sometimes it can be a challenge but I cannot see myself doing anything else.”
