What a night, what a celebration.

More than 200 hoteliers and sponsors gathered at Bournemouth’s Marsham Court Hotel on Sunday, October 3, for the first-ever BH Area Hospitality Association Recognition Awards.

The crème de la crème of the hospitality industry in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole took their moment in the spotlight.

The main sponsor was Expedia while the evening DJ and Host was Mark Rush Palmer from Hot Radio.

Guests were entertained by Jack Rideout during a drinks reception sponsored by Tolchards.

They were also treated to an electric performance before the start of the awards by street dance crew Deviation Dance Family.

Tim Seward, Chair, BH Area Hospitality Association, pictured left, said: “The evening was a great celebration for hotel teams after the last 18 months.

“Although not everyone could be a winner I want to say well done to every single staff member across every hotel for all they do to look after our guests as they visit Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.”

Cllr Mohan Iyengar, BCP Council’s Cabinet Member for Tourism, pictured right, said: “The people in this room have overcome countless difficulties and improvised solutions to sometimes unique problems.

“You’ve opened your doors and welcomed – if not the world – our residents, day-trippers and stay-cationers.

“Most of them have had a fabulous, enjoyable and safe time here.

“We do like to say that our three towns represent the ‘premier resort in the UK’.

“I think that claim is now stronger than ever.

“And it’s bedrock is the talent, the ambition, the resilience and the absolute professionalism of every one of you here.

“I congratulate you all, thank you.”
