Polished success: Business founded three years ago is South Coast’s only Diamond partner
It could not have been timed better.
The height of lockdown and the team scattered and working from home.
And then official confirmation.
BBD Boom, a business founded just three years ago and specialising in delivering leads and generating revenue, had been named a Diamond Solutions Partner with HubSpot.
One of just 19 in the UK and the only one on the South Coast.
Quite an accolade from HubSpot, the developer and marketer of software products for inbound marketing, sales, and customer service.
Emma Lynch, who co-founded BBD Boom with Adam Lewis in 2017, said: “We were just so excited.
“It’s a massive achievement to go from Platinum, which we were previously, to Diamond.
“A really proud moment for everyone in the team and we couldn’t be more delighted.”
Emma, who is BBD Boom’s Head of Client Success, has more than 22 years ‘marketing experience, both client and agency side.
Her previous posts have included Group Director and Director of Operations at Bright Blue Day and Director of Adido Communications Ltd.
Both David Ford and Jonathan Clark, Founders of Bright Blue Day, are Directors of BBD Boom together with Emma and Adam.
Emma said: “We were ambitious from the start by taking an office for five at THIS Workspace in Bournemouth.
“We now have nine full-time staff as well as up to six freelancers we use on a weekly basis.
“I’m particularly proud of our policy of recruiting apprentices and training them up.
“Three of our staff started out as apprentices. Two have graduated and one is just about to.
“We’re ambitious to grow and will be looking to increase our team in the future.
“BBD Boom is built from the ground up to focus only on inbound marketing and marketing automation.
“We haven’t just bolted it on.
“We’re also not an agency.
“We are a managed service that blends the best technology with brilliant people to develop the strategy, content and creative to make it work.”
Clients of BBD Boom range from b2b tech firms to businesses in the legal, telecom and venture capital sectors.
Emma, 48, was named Business Mother of the Year at the 2018 Venus Awards.
A mother of two daughters, now aged 15 and eight, she won the award for successfully juggling business and family life.
She was also a finalist in the Small Business of the Year and Employer of the Year categories.
Collecting her award, Emma said: “Life is one big juggling act, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
“My family are my world and by running my own business it allows me to do the school runs, attend school events and be the Mum I promised myself I would be.”
While lockdown has presented challenges, Emma said the BBD Boom team was practised in working remotely.
Daily conferences were held with catch-up calls at 8.45am and 5pm.
She said: “It’s actually worked really well.
“We’ve also had virtual quizzes with drinks. The team spirit has been excellent.
“We’re looking forward to being back together again, though.
“As for HubSpot, Elite is the top partner level but that really will be difficult to achieve.
“But we’re up for it.”
