Eco-friendly and toxic free fogging cleaning system launched in fight against Covid-19
A Poole company has launched one of the UK’s first eco-friendly antiviral, antibacterial fogging cleaning systems to help businesses in their fight against Covid-19.
Green Bear UK was founded in 2008.
It only designs, produces or selects products that are not harmful to the environment or have clear environmental advantages over standard like for like products.
Green Bear UK’s new multi-use fogging cleaning system comprises two products:
- GBPro eco antiviral antibac surface (fogging) disinfectant
- GBPro 300 UVL high performance commercial fogging machine.
The disinfectant has been developed in the UK, to use in fogging machines as a surface and airborne disinfectant.
It contains a natural anti-microbial and anti-viral active ingredient and minimises environmental impact through its biodegradable, low toxic formula.
The disinfectant has been independently laboratory tested at BluTest Laboratories in Glasgow where it achieved a 99.99 per cent viricidal kill score.
When used in a spray bottle manually, it is a multi-surface disinfectant cleaner to accompany the fogging process.
The fogging machine was originally developed and used for the medical industry.
Lightweight and portable, it has a high-performance motor with a range of up to eight metres.
It provides the end-user with accurate control to adjust the droplet size from 6-35 micron for dry fog to mist settings.
Green Bear UK’s fogging cleaning system is suitable for b2b (business to business) or b2c (business to consumer) organisations.
It has been specifically designed to be used in high footfall or shared areas to offer a deep clean solution to help provide some protection against Covid-19 by decontaminating an area before staff or public enter, providing a safer environment.
Mike Knowlton, Managing Director, who founded Green Bear UK, said it provided a toxic free alternative solution to the chemical fogging cleaning systems currently in circulation.
He added: “There was a very real demand from our customers for an alternative, eco-friendly, toxic free fogging cleaning system to help businesses in their fight against Covid-19.
“We decided to investigate and come up with a solution ourselves.
“It was a conscious decision to source and find a developer and manufacturer here in the UK.
“Feedback from customers to date has been positive.”
Green Bear UK has developed ecological detergents and cleansing products under its GBPro trademark.
The company, which employs five people, has its laboratories in The Netherlands to develop own products and bespoke products for the industry.
