Poole Property Club BCP hosted a Sustainability Panel and networking event at The Lighthouse in Poole, partnered by Whitefox Chartered Surveyors.

The event was a sell-out success, as the Poole Property Club BCP moves in to its second year and was attended by a diverse mix of businesses and professionals who came together to discuss improving sustainability in the sector.

There was a panel of notable speakers, which was hosted by Poole Property Club Founders Keeley Fox and Heidi Munro.

Speakers included Darren Frias-Robes from Whitefox Chartered Surveyors, David Thomas, Vail Willaims, Xenia Kaldy, Ridge, Thomas Leach, Sol Acoustics, Adam Walker, Foundry, Robert Speirs, Stepnell, Lee Merryfield, MSP Capital and Richard Summers, Boyle & Summers.

Topics covered included;

  • Delivering energy efficient retrofit solutions
  • Changes to building regulations and how they have impacted acoustic design
  • Advice around Energy Performance Certificates
  • The importance of embodied carbon and what type of buildings would benefit this most
  • Influencing improvements in sustainable construction whilst meeting the clients budget
  • Obtaining funding for sustainable projects

Whitefox MD, Darren Frias- Robles said: “It was a very productive morning with some great insights learnt by all.

“It was good to share Whitefox experiences of retrofit & sustainable solutions in our refurbishment projects which include Bobby’s Department Store, Rockwater Sandbanks, Weymouth Brewery and many more.

“We enjoyed sharing our first-hand experience of finding cost effective solutions that enhance the energy performances of a building.”
