Staff at Julia’s House Children’s Hospice celebrated the release of tickets for a Venetian-themed Summer Ball by taking part in a photo shoot with a difference at Canford School.

Laura Tillings, Julia’s House Marketing Manager; Chantelle Shave, Community Fundraiser and volunteer Marcus Alldrick, demonstrated how glamorous Venetian styling can be achieved on a shoestring budget using pre-loved clothing and charity shop accessories.

They wore ball gowns, masks and suits donated to the charity’s flagship superstore in Creekmoor.

The Venetian Ball takes place in the grounds of Canford School on Saturday June 27, where guests can enjoy Bellinis on the lawn from Venice’s famous ‘Harry’s Bar’, before heading in to a stunning marquee for an unforgettable night of fine dining and dancing.

Linda Schofield-Green, Corporate Fundraising Manager, said: “The Julia’s House Venetian Carnivale, to give it its official title, is an opportunity to get dressed up and enjoy a really special event in a truly stunning location.

“The grounds at Canford are beautiful in summertime and the school provides the perfect backdrop for this very special fundraising event.

“All the usual features of a Julia’s House Ball will be there, including our very popular silent auction and present wall – plus a few extra surprises that we have tucked up our sleeves!

“All the money we raise will go towards to supporting the families of local children with life-limiting conditions – we can only provide our life-changing support because of donations from the public.

“We hope as many people as possible will enjoy getting glammed up and allow us to transport them to Venice for an unforgettable evening that will make a life-changing difference to the children we care for.”

Tickets for the Julia’s House Venetian Carnivale are on sale now, with sponsorship and VIP options available.
