Leave a lasting legacy

Did you know that gifts in Wills pay for over 100 days of patient care at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care?

Of course, we understand that family comes first, however with your kind support, we promise to do everything in our power to provide quality care for the people of East Dorset that are living with life-limiting illnesses.

Join the many thousands of people who remember a charity in their Will each year.

This is your opportunity to leave a legacy to a charity that is making an impact in the local community.

Visit our website to find out how you can make your Will online today at no cost to you.

Every supporter Will is checked by a fully qualified solicitor and you can use their helplines at no extra cost.

Find out more here.

Why not have a declutter and donate your preloved items to your local Lewis-Manning Hospice Care charity shop?

We are asking all of our corporate friends if you’d be happy to pop one of our stock donation dump bins in your office, then simply ask your colleagues to donate their preloved items?

By donating your clothes, shoes, bags, sunglasses, suits (the list is endless!) you’ll be helping to provide extraordinary hospice care in your community.

You can do a really good thing and turn trainers into treatment, clothes into care and shoes into support.

Sound good?

If you and your business would like to get involved, please contact us today by emailing fundraisingteam@lewis-manning.org.uk or call 01202 708470.

Make someone’s day as a Volunteer Befriender

Do you kindly have a couple of hours spare to spend time supporting patients with a life-limiting illness through companionship in their own home?

Are you compassionate, a good listener, patient and understanding, with access to email and hold a driving licence?

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is looking for volunteer Befrienders to work with a team of highly skilled nurses and health care assistants to provide extraordinary hospice care and brighten someone’s day, week or even year.

Full training and support will be provided.

Sound like something you want to get involved with?

Please call us today on 01202 708470 or email hr@lewis-manning.org.uk.

We’re proud of our dedicated and committed team!

This month we spoke to Ellie Breeds, Marketing and Communications Executive.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Working alongside a group of supportive colleagues who are equally motivated within their work, knowing that we are making a real difference to people’s lives.

I love the freedom of my role and being able to create exciting and engaging content from social media posts to fundraising marketing campaigns.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?

Never dismiss an opportunity because you don’t think you are good enough or qualified enough, you might just be surprised!

Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t know

I have been vegan since 2016 (and counting!).

Describe yourself in 3 words

Creative, caring, easy-going.

If you were going to rule the world for the day, what law would you introduce?

Ban unnecessary single-use plastic and raise awareness about the need for a more sustainable future.

Your best place for a holiday is?

Either a European city break, trialling out any vegan cafes that cross my path, or somewhere near the sea!
