Lights, Camera, Action: Chamber members get chance to hear about film production industry

By Andrew Diprose, editor

2020 is starting in style at Bournemouth Chamber of Trade & Commerce (BCTC).

Member businesses from the hospitality, digital, entertainment and creative industries are invited to attend the first BH Meet Up of the New Year tonight, Monday January 6.

Held on the first Monday of every month, this first ‘episode’ will feature representatives from the film production industry, outlining different aspects of their work.

It includes DAL Productions Ltd, a TV and film production company which is facilitating the event and acting as drink sponsors for the evening.

Mandy Polkey, BCTC Past President, pictured, said: “This new event gives Bournemouth Chamber an opportunity to engage with all sizes and types of businesses as we value close engagement with our business community so that we can listen, support and guide them to help them grow.

“The first BH MeetUp focuses on the local film production industry, a sector that needs a lot of support. We are looking forward to help link these filmmakers and media groups with established local businesses.”

The event is free to BCTC Members and £10 to non-members, including a drink and canapes on arrival.

It is held from 6pm until 8pm at the Ocean Beach Hotel & Spa on East Overcliff Drive.

Places are still available but don’t delay.

BCTC’s BH Meet Up events will be showcasing a member business from the hospitality, digital, entertainment and creative industries every month.

This includes an opportunity to sponsor the event and get exposure through BCTC media channels (and on Dorset Biz News).
