‘Like Christmas has come early’ says Bournemouth Rugby chair as U13s get kitted out by Castlepoint

The under 13s at Bournemouth Rugby are already making good use of their new tackle suits, speed training parachutes and rebound nets – all courtesy of Castlepoint Shopping Centre.

Boy in tackle suitIt comes as part of the centre’s latest community engagement strategy to celebrate their 20th anniversary this year.

The donation has been warmly welcomed by U13s coach John Willoughby, who initially reached out to Castlepoint.

“It was a great pleasure to receive the new kit from Castlepoint this September”, he said, adding that it would “help our players master their ever-developing skills”.

“We can’t thank Castlepoint enough for including us in this very generous community donation to enhance the rugby sporting experience at our club.

“The teams are really excited to have access to the new equipment and for us to form a partnership with Castlepoint.

“As a community club, we strive to engage with local businesses to assist with community sponsorship across our age grades.”

Castlepoint’s Centre Manager David Pickett joined the squad for the presentation and handover at Chapel Gate last month, noting that he and his colleagues were “so pleased to have helped a wonderful local rugby team”.
