Haberdasherdo, Bournemouth’s sewing, knitting, crochet and haberdashery emporium, marked five years in business on Saturday.
Throughout the day, customers old and new joined Jane and her team for the celebration.
Together they helped raise money for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, with Haberdasherdo donating prizes alongside some of its wool and fabric suppliers for a charity raffle.
The centrepiece for the day was a sewing box and fabric shop themed cake made by local cake artist Aleisha of Sobo Sweet Stuff Cakes.
Jane Scott launched the business in 2019, just months before Covid lockdowns.
“We can’t thank people enough for their support of the shop and their generosity in purchasing raffle tickets,” she said.
“It was lovely to see so many familiar faces pop in to congratulate us.
“I’d also like to thank my trusty team as well – Helen, Ali and Tracey – who all bring a wealth of experience to the shop – over a hundred years’ experience if you add it all together!”
Haberdasherdo sells a variety of haberdashery, fabric, wool and sewing machines.
Jane and her team also offer lessons and workshops, from sewing and dressmaking to learning to knit or crochet.
