Dorset-based insolvency and business advisory firm, Even Keel Solutions, has welcomed Jessica Oliver as its newest Insolvency Administrator.

Jessica joins the team as part of a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship, which she is set to undertake through Bournemouth and Poole College from September.

Jessica, a former Glenmoor and Winton Academy student, began working part-time at Even Keel in February 2023. She quickly developed a keen interest in the insolvency sector, which led to her decision to pursue further knowledge in the field.

By late June, she had transitioned into a near full-time role, taking on greater responsibilities and impressing Directors Dorothy Brown and Andrew Rumsey with her progress.

Dorothy said: “Jessica is proving to be a fast learner, and her confidence in the role is growing exponentially. We’re both impressed with how much she has achieved during the last couple of months.”

Jessica has already taken on various tasks, from assisting with finance functions to client communication and case setups. Despite initial plans for a gradual introduction to her new role, she has embraced an increased workload, demonstrating her adaptability and eagerness to learn.

Even Keel Solutions places a strong emphasis on supporting its team members. The firm’s training and support systems ensure that apprentices like Jessica receive guidance and encouragement.

Her work at the firm will align with her college course requirements, allowing her to grow academically and professionally.

Jessica shared her enthusiasm about the role: “So far, my journey with Even Keel Solutions has been amazing. I have learnt so much and I’m looking forward to learning more when I begin the apprenticeship in September. The team has really made me feel comfortable and at home, which has boosted my confidence.”

The decision to bring on an apprentice fits with Even Keel’s growth strategy. Directors Andrew and Dorothy have actively promoted apprenticeship opportunities at local Dorset Chamber events.

They believe this approach will not only help the firm expand but also support individual professional development.

Andrew said: “By investing in our team’s education, we hope to create mutually beneficial rewards going forward.” He also noted that, if successful, they hope to offer similar apprenticeship opportunities in the future.

Even Keel Solutions’ commitment to fostering young talent and supporting the local community highlights their progressive approach to business development. As Jessica embarks on her apprenticeship, the firm is excited to see her continue to grow and contribute to its success.
