Almost 35 acres of development land in Weymouth has been brought to the market as part of a mixed use urban extension that will deliver 500 new homes.
The prominent site in Littlemoor, located on the Bincombe Bumps roundabout and within the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is being marketed by Savills.
It is expected to be of interest to both investors and developers with a range of potential commercial uses mooted.
The site extends to 34.94 acres and benefits from outline planning permission for a mixed-use development including a care home, hotel, local centre, car showrooms and other commercial uses.
The development land has frontage onto the A353 and is well connected to the A35 south coast trunk road, providing connectivity to Poole, Southampton and Exeter.
A sale is being targeted during this calendar year with offers invited from investors and developers, as well as expressions of interest from potential occupiers.

Colin Wilkins, Development Director at Savills in Southampton, pictured, said: “The availability of the land to the north of Littlemoor Road presents a unique opportunity for a large scale development in this coastal location.
“With excellent connectivity to surrounding areas and the sale of the commercial development land at Littlemoor offering an excellent investment opportunity that will lead to job creation and even a regional logistics hub for the south coast, we are anticipating a significant level of interest in this site.”
Viewing of the site can be arranged via Savills.
