Take to the skies and wing walk for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care on July 21.
We are delighted to be able to offer this once-in-a-lifetime experience, to take to the skies on the wing of a biplane from Henstridge Aerodrome, Somerset, with The Wing Walk Company.

You could be soaring over the local area and able to see the stunning scenery from a very unique view!
If you don’t want to take to the skies alone you can always get a team or group together to enjoy a fun day out and share the amazing experience with one another whilst supporting your local charity hospice.

We’re proud of our dedicated and committed team!
This month we speak to Retail Assistant Manager Kate Gwilliam in our Swanage shop.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Seeing first-hand how the funds we help raise make a positive difference to a person’s life and their family. Charity retail is different to mainstream retail because through your hard work you can change someone’s life for the better.
What’s the best career advice you have been given?
Always follow your heart and work for a cause you believe makes a positive difference in the world.
Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t know?
I am an artist who uses textiles to bring my drawings to life. Greatly inspired by nature and animals I have been sewing since 2006. You can find me on social media under ‘Flying Duckie ‘ or at ‘Swanage Artisans on the Beach’ during December in my pop-up shop.
Give 3 words to describe you?
Kind, creative and unique.
If you were to rule the world for the day, what law would you introduce?
I would make community growing projects standard. I’d encourage less lawn in gardens, with the emphasis on growing your own! This would mean less food miles and more food for bees. There should be more spaces available to those who don’t have green spaces.
Best place for a holiday?
Being from the industrial North and now living on the South Coast, I don’t travel far for a beautiful holiday. Spending time walking the coast of Dorset and Devon, never being too far from a good pub that sells local cider and a roast!
