An eSports app created in Dorset has been downloaded more than 45,000 times across 150+ countries in just nine months since going live.

Poole-based software, web and marketing agency, b4b, designed and built the PGS eSports app.

Praised for being “smooth”, “sleek” and the “most reliable on the market”, the app allows FIFA online gamers to easily enter stats, create teams, take part in tournaments, and win awards.

It can be translated into any language and was recently in the top 150 sports apps on iOS.

There are still big plans for the app, with new features that will let users livestream games, earn PGS coins, and quickly find new players to offer contracts.

A Tournaments module also recently went live, which allows PGS to create tournaments for players to participate in and win trophies for their team.

Kian James, Founder of PGS – which stands for Pro Gaming Society – said: “The team at b4b have helped us turn an ambitious concept into a smooth and streamlined app that adds real value to the gaming experience.

“We are thrilled with what they have delivered so far and have lots of exciting plans for the future development of the app.”

b4b said creating an app on such a scale, with a high level of functionality and ease of use, had been an exciting challenge for the team.

Scott Sugden, the agency’s Senior Software Project Manager, described the app as a career highlight.

He added: “PGS is one of our most exciting clients to work with.

“They have great potential to become a global player in the eSports industry as a whole and are committed to constantly building on their technology by working with us to provide new and innovative features to their users.

“They have an ambitious vision to provide the best worldwide platform for competitions and leagues for all games, and we have already seen a huge leap in growth since their incorporation.

“We are excited to be a part of this journey and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the coming years.”

As part of an ongoing and large-scale collaboration, b4b has also recently launched the brand new PGS website –  pgsesports.com – and will be managing the company’s email marketing and a social ad campaign.
