Dorset laundry company launches online auction to mark the coronation year and support three worthy causes

Three youth charities are set to receive a big boost as Barker Laundry & Dry Cleaning kicks off its Givergy online auction for the coronation year.

Barker GroupIt’s the latest in a series of fundraising initiatives from the company to support Elevate Foundation, Boo Charity and Life Education Wessex & Thames Valley – all causes which reflect King Charles’s commitment to the education and support of young people.

Matthew BarkerMatthew Barker, Managing Director of Barker, said: “We hope that businesses and individuals in Dorset and beyond will take a look online, get involved and help us raise much needed funds for these deserving charities.

“We have sports memorabilia, artwork, wines and spirits, and much more.

“The auction will run for the whole of August and will finish on 31 August at 12:00.”

‘Harbour Sunlight’ by Bryan Pickard – one of many items available for auction

The first of the comapny’s three chosen charities for 2023, Elevate Foundation provides support and opportunities to young people to help build their resilience and strength.

Boo Charity supports African children living in economic poverty, while Life Education Wessex & Thames Valley empowers children aged between 3 and 13 to stay safe and make positive, healthy decisions.

Proceeds will be split evenly between the three organisations.
