A new platform for female founders called Wonderfully Women went off, appropriately, rather wonderfully.
The first event, coinciding with International Women’s Day and held at Launceston Farm at Tarrant Launceston, attracted 35 women.
Beth Gregory of Folio Creative, who came up with the idea, described the response as “amazing”.
She added: “I have big plans and visions for Wonderfully Women in the future.
“To be able to support not just Dorset-based founders but women all over the UK who are becoming the biggest inspirations.”
Beth, pictured left, said she had seen through her work as a brand photographer how there was a need for a venture such as Wonderfully Women.
She said: “Many of my clients would comment on how they often work alone and how positively different they feel having spent time with other entrepreneurs.
“Dorset is thriving with solo business owners.
“In fact, as a county Dorset has hit a record number of new startup businesses in the last few years.
“This is incredible; so how can we support them?
“Wonderfully Women is a place for female founders to feel inspired and supported by likeminded souls.
“This includes events, support, and exclusive online groups.
“It’s very much about building not just our businesses but also our mindsets.
“There will be a big focus on positive mindset on this platform.
“The power of self belief can be game-changing.
“Successful female leaders have the mindset that there are no barriers to themselves achieving their goal.
“We are unstoppable!
“Just by being surrounded and supported by likeminded people can leave a huge positive influence on self belief.
“It’s about feeling that you are surrounded by incredible people who are your biggest cheerleaders.”
The first Wonderfully Women event featured workshops by Beth, Stevie McCormick from Stars By Stevie and Alexa Warner of the Healthful Mind Clinic.
Topics covered included ‘How to make your brand more you’ and ‘How to manifest and set business goals’ as well as business-focused meditation.
Among those attending was Lillie Hussain, Owner of Healing Haven.
She described the event as “incredible” adding: “I just cannot wait to book onto the next one.
“I can’t even describe how much you helped the women that were in that room today.”
Beth said: “I want people to feel like anything is possible.
“Dream big, and then dream a little bigger.
“If you are a female founder, and ready to feel inspired, join our community on Instagram or our Facebook Group.”
