More than 50 actresses who’ve played the iconic role of ‘Alice’ travelled to Dorset from across the UK for a party celebrating the 30th anniversary of Adventure Wonderland.

The family theme park – opposite Bournemouth Airport – laid on the special reunion ‘Alice Day’ to mark its birthday.

Over the past three decades, the park has entertained more than a million guests with its combination of outdoor rides, indoor play and resident character entertainment.

Originally opening as the ‘Alice in Wonderland Park’, guests have always been greeted by Lewis Carroll’s storybook stars.

Over the years, the attraction has grown and evolved into today’s family theme park.

Lucy Lucas-Rowe, Adventure Wonderland’s Director, said: “The characters here have always been a hugely loved aspect of the entertainment we provide.

“We never imagined when we planted the Alice in Wonderland maze from thousands of beech trees in 1991 that we would still be here 30 years later.

“We now have families who visited as children in the 1990’s who are now bringing their own children for days out which is so lovely to hear.”

Andy Brennan, Entertainments Manager, pictured right, said: “We wanted to celebrate the event by bringing back all of our previous Alice actresses.

“It was quite the mission to track everyone down but the response has been incredible.

“Alices have travelled from all over the country to join the fun.”

The Alices were treated to a preview performance of Adventure Wonderlands brand new show, ‘Mr Rabbit’s Big Party!’

Andy said: “We’re also celebrating the lifting of restrictions for inside performances.

“We’re so excited to be back on stage in our Happydrome Theatre.

“We’re sure guests are going to love joining the fun at ‘Mr Rabbit’s Big Party!’

“This year we have also added a crazy golf course to our range of rides and attractions which is sure to keep all the family entertained.”

Lucy added: “I am very proud, especially given the difficulties we experienced last year with the pandemic that we are still a thriving local business, delivering family fun to locals and holiday makers alike.

“Here’s to the next 30 years”
