Charity launches new ‘Mind Tools’ package of training sessions

Dorset Mind has unveiled a new package of manageable bite-sized training sessions for businesses covering a wide range of wellbeing subjects.

‘Mind Tools’ aims to ensure the conversation about mental health continues throughout the year.

The charity has launched the initiative with an introductory offer – book eleven sessions with their expert trainers, pay upfront and get the twelfth free.

The sessions include topics that are useful within the workplace and at home.

They include:

  • Stress management
  • Menopause and mental health
  • Money and mental health
  • Boundaries and resilience
  • How to support someone in a crisis.

Marie-Clare Gale, Dorset Mind’s Training Manager, said: Adapting our training offering to swiftly support business needs is a real USP (unique selling point) for Dorset Mind’s Training Team.

Mind Tools was created in response to a notable increase in requests for shorter ‘lunch and learn’ awareness sessions.

“Companies choose which topics we deliver from a suite of 16 topics which allows them to select ones they know will benefit their employees the most.”

Both Dorset Mind’s CEO, Linda O’Sullivan, pictured left, and Dr Andy Mayers, Patron for Dorset Mind and Principal Academic at Bournemouth University, have welcomed the initiative.

Linda said: “By booking training with Dorset Mind, you’re also investing in your local community as all profits made will help us provide essential support across the county for adults and young people.”

Full service creative agency CHS has expanded into North America with the launch of a new office headquartered in New York City.

The Christchurch-based agency has a particular specialism in financial services and says it is excited to bring its expertise and experience to the North American market.

Chris Southgate, pictured left, Managing Director, said: “We’ve been working with clients in the US for many years and introducing a more formal presence there is the next natural step for our agency.

“We couldn’t be more excited.

“Over the past years, we have demonstrated what going Beyond Expectation in the UK really means.

“It results in an exceptional performance when compared to our industry peers and we’re passionate about bringing this way of working, enthusiasm, and success to the US market.

“New York is the finance capital of the world and with such a huge specialism in the financial services space, there’s a huge opportunity for growth.”

The agency’s expansion follows a string of successes in recent years in the advertising industry including the Digiday Advertising Awards Europe, The DMAs, and The Drum Awards for Marketing.

CHS has also been shortlisted for a whole host of other awards, including the Oystercatcher’s prestigious Agency of the Year.
