Free support for mumpreneurs on brand and visibility

Blossom Lane Creatives is supporting mumpreneurs to stay focused on their brand and visibility to their audience during and after the coronavirus crisis.

The marketing and design business, run by mums Emma Collins and Jill Pryor, has opened its online Facebook subscription community for free during the COVID-19 lockdown.

From tomorrow, April 1, it will be running a 30 Day Brand Clarity Challenge.

The challenge will have daily bite-sized tasks, guiding owners of small businesses on how to dig deep into their brand strategy so they can confidently create effective marketing and PR.

It will feature regular Q&A sessions for each task.

Emma said: “It’s a simple but supportive action at a time that brings uncertainty to many business owners.

“Having a business community online is now more important than ever.

“I’m incredibly proud that we’ve been able to put so much information together to help more mumpreneurs get clarity and stay visible.”

Emma and Jill have more than 30 years’ experience working in design, marketing and PR.

Sunseeker International donates PPE to Poole Hospital

Sunseeker International has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The consignment of 400 face masks and 4,000 gloves was delivered to Poole Hospital, local to Sunseeker International’s headquarters, on March 30.

Michael Straughan, Chief Operating Officer, pictured left delivering the PPE, said: “We all need to do our bit in these exceptional circumstances.

“We wanted to support our hardworking NHS workers as they continue their exceptional frontline work against the coronavirus.

“As we had PPE equipment available, we felt it was important to donate these to Poole Hospital to help however we can.”

Mark Mould, Chief Operating Officer at Poole Hospital, said: “It has been so heartening to see the business community rallying around our hospitals during this current crisis.

“We are so grateful to Sunseeker International for this offer of support and their equipment will further improve our resilience during this challenging period for the NHS.”

Morebus and Yellow Buses work together

Key workers in Bournemouth and Poole and the surrounding area can now use their bus tickets for either Morebus or Yellow Buses.

Regardless of which operator issued them, they can travel across any of the operators’ buses in the region.

The companies are working together to allow those who carry out vital roles to travel easily, regardless of which operator their ticket originated from.

During this challenging time, the operators recognise the need for key workers – whether NHS professionals or others carrying out vital roles – to get to and from work.

The two are working together to ensure key workers have the best possible opportunity to travel as and when they need to.

Each operator will accept the other’s valid tickets from now until the crisis ends.

Drivers from both operators will recognise returns, dayriders or weekly passes – paper, apps or smartcards.

Tickets for journeys across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, Wimborne and New Milton are valid.

It means Morebus’ zone A, AB and ABC tickets will be accepted by Yellow Buses drivers and vice versa by Morebus drivers.
