Rick Stein in Sandbanks was the venue for a coffee morning in aid of Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.

Guests enjoyed a busy, but relaxing, morning of conversation, coffee, cake and a raffle.

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is a charity, helping people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across Poole, Purbeck and East Dorset.

It offers a range of free hospice care services aimed at helping people to live well through their illness, closer to home, including:

  • Day hospices, virtual and in person
  • Creative arts & wellbeing support
  • Lymphoedema clinic
  • Better breathing clinic
  • Bereavement & family support

Every year Lewis-Manning Hospice Care supports nearly 500 local people.

New services are developed, based on patient need and identified gaps in the area.

The charity needs to raise more than £1.6m every year.

Without these funds it could not exist.

Each month Dorset Biz News features a round-up of the latest news from Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.

You can read the latest edition here.

It includes the hospice’s forthcoming community event – Candles on the Lake in Poole Park.

We also meet staff member Gabby Levene, People Officer, and Volunteer Driver Robin Sherwood.

There is no charge to attend Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.
