The Professional Boatmans Association (PBA) held its annual meeting at the Boat Building Academy in Lyme Regis.

Founded in 1991 to act as a voice for owners of small commercial vessels across the UK, its aims are to promote safety at sea and to monitor new legislation which is regularly introduced to the industry.

Coleman Marine Insurance, part of global broking giant Gallagher, sponsored the event.

The PBA is keen to recruit new members.

Lyle Stantiford, Membership Secretary, said, “Our members are mainly angling and diving charter skippers but we would welcome any yacht charters to join.”

Visit www.pba.org.uk for more information and to apply for membership.
