Goadsby closes deals in Bournemouth and Verwood for clients

Goadsby Commercial has let the third floor of Ocean 80 at 80 Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth, to ESET.

The internet security company joins other high-profile tenants in the building including Lloyds and Health-on-Line.

The landmark ten storey building is in a prominent position fronting Holdenhurst Road.

It includes communal areas, a manned reception area with secure access to the building, a café offering a wide range of food and drinks and a private gym which tenants are able to join.

Malcolm Tuck, pictured right, ESET’s UK MD, said: “Ocean 80 offers ESET the perfect environment for our business to continue to grow.

“It was important that we secured a space that allows our people to work flexibly and collaboratively.

“As a technology business, Ocean 80 meets all of our demands and is a fitting location for our UK headquarters.”

James Edwards, pictured left, Director, Goadsby Commercial, said: “We are very pleased to have secured the letting to ESET.

“Having heard their plans for the building, they are clearly very focused in transforming the space into a fantastic area for their staff to work.”

Goadsby Commercial acted on behalf of Ameriscot Commercial.

  • Goadsby, on behalf of a private landlord, has let Unit 1, Van Cortlandt House, 33 Black Moor Road, Ebblake Industrial Estate, Verwood. to Nevis Marketing.

The fully refurbished industrial/warehouse unit extends to 24,918 sq ft and has a new roof, new cladding, new loading doors and a new office fit out.

The quoting rental was £186,885 per annum exclusive.

The eaves height is 6.2m and the accommodation includes 1,622 sq ft first floor offices and a 1,603 sq ft mezzanine.

Chris Wilson, pictured left, Director, Goadsby, said: “Nevis Marketing required a prestigious warehouse with good access to A31 to allow for expansion of their Ringwood-based motorcycle clothing and accessories business.

“They were impressed with the quality of refurbishment, the prominence to the estate road and the high specification of the office accommodation.”

Entries have opened for the new Poole Business Awards.

As reported on Dorset Biz News, Marketing West Events, the company behind a series of successful business awards across Dorset, is organising the contest.

There are an initial 15 categories:

Entries close on Monday October 4 and the awards ceremony will be held at the RNLI College in Poole on Tuesday November 9.

It will also be streamed live.

Organisers have issued a five-point pledge:

  1. The role of the awards is to promote the range and quality of local businesses.

  2. Entry will be free.

  3. Judging will be independent and online with no outside influence.

  4. There will be a category for every business.

  5. The awards ceremony will be open to all. The cost to attend will be covered by the award organisers.

Creditplus reveals five most searched cars in July

Creditplus, the Poole-based car finance provider, has revealed the top five car searches in July.

Used car searches were up 26 per cent in the month.

The business delivers hundreds of cars across the country every year.

It released the top five after analysing the cars customers searched for the most via its website.

They were: 

  1. Ford Kuga
  2. Audi A3
  3. Vauxhall Corsa
  4. BMW-1 Series
  5. Volkswagen Golf

Blake Hawksworth, Head of Digital, Creditplus, said the easing of restrictions in July and also customers more trusting of online purchases had led to the 26 per cent rise.

He added: “The increase also comes as we’ve strengthened our eCommerce offering where drivers can find and finance their car online before it’s delivered to their door.”
