Agency’s framework appointment is “major milestone” says founder
A communications agency founded six months ago has been appointed to a new framework agreement to provide publications and campaign support services to the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult.

Bournemouth-based Oceanspace Communications joins the framework following a nationwide invitation to tender.
ORE Catapult was established in 2013 by the government and is part of a network of Catapults set up by Innovate UK in high growth industries.
As the UK’s leading technology innovation and research centre for offshore renewable energy, it is regarded as an essential pillar of the UK’s position at the forefront of global decarbonisation and technology development for a sustainable future.
Oceanspace Communications was launched in August 2020 and builds on founder Saul Trewern’s two decades of experience in providing PR and marketing services to clients in the maritime and offshore industries.
It is already helping technology-focused clients in Germany, Denmark and Norway to strengthen their communications outreach programmes.

Saul, pictured left, said his agency’s appointment to the ORE Catapult framework was a “major milestone” for the company.
He added: “ORE Catapult has become one of the most important initiatives towards the fight against global climate change.
“The work being done by the ORE Catapult and its partners is essential to securing the health of our planet for generations to come.
“We’re looking forward to being part of the team at such a critical time, and helping to shape and deliver the UK’s offshore renewable energy story.”
With ten research and testing facilities strategically located across the UK, and a collaborative research partnership in China, ORE Catapult has, to date, provided development, demonstration and product commercialisation support to more than 900 SMEs.
It has also taken part in 802 global industry collaborations and 556 academic alliances.
