Leading global economist to offer insight to business leaders

A leading global economist is to share his thoughts on current and future developments in the UK and across the world.

Poole-based business and tax advisory firm, Inspire, is hosting an Economic Update webinar, with Christian Gattiker on Thursday January 21.

There’ll be plenty of topics to cover.

Hot on the heels of the new Brexit trade deal and with a new US President about to be sworn in, not to mention the concern around the pandemic, 2021 looks set to be a rocky ride.

The free webinar, in partnership with Evolve, is the latest in a series of virtual events from Inspire.

They’re aimed at supporting business owners and leaders throughout the pandemic.

Mr Gattiker who is Chief Strategist and Global Head of Research at Bank Julius Baer, will present an update on the global economy and how recent events, including Covid-19, the US election and Brexit could influence the economy for 2021 and in the future.

He will also talk through his predictions for the next few months on interest rates, foreign exchange rates and the stock market.

Following the presentation by Mr Gattiker, there will be a Q&A session, in which attendees are welcome to ask questions of the economist.

Christian Gattiker is a permanent member of the investment committee of Bank Julius Baer.

Previously, he held positions as global equity strategist and equity analyst and worked as an investor relations consultant for domestic and international stock-listed companies at an independent agency.

His research has included the analysis of global industrial sectors, equity strategy, and investment decisions across asset classes.

He holds a degree in economics from the University of Berne.

Specialist gym company expands with new Christchurch home

A specialist gym is to take up residence on the Priory Industrial Park in Christchurch.

Goadsby,  acting on behalf of Hermes Real Estate Investments, has let Unit 11 in Airspeed Road to Complete Active, a specialist strength and crossfit gym.

The premises are approximately 2,635 sq ft with a 5.5m internal eaves height.

The quoting rent was £22,500 per annum exclusive.

Skincare brand appoints CHS to agency roster

British natural skincare brand, Emma Hardie Skincare, has appointed CHS as one of the creative forces behind a new premium product launch scheduled for this spring.

The full service agency was approached by the premium skincare brand after it sought another marketing partner, including the production of imagery and video.

Both are specialist offerings from the Christchurch-based agency.
