Gallagher Poole supports grassroots football with ‘The Magpies’
Insurance broker Gallagher’s Poole office has become the official shirt sponsor of the Under 12s Girls football team for Wimborne Town for the 2022/2023 season.

Matt Williams, pictured left, Head of the Poole office at Gallagher, was keen to support the local club and grassroots football, particularly in light of last year’s success by England’s Lionesses in the Women’s Euro 2022 final.
He said: “I jumped at the opportunity to support Dan [Mckrill] and the Wimborne Girls team.
“Getting behind local community sporting clubs, especially successful and well-run clubs like Wimborne, is incredibly important and fits in well with our company ethos.
“We wish the girls another successful season”

Dan, Manager and Coach for Wimborne Town U12s Girls, said: “The sponsorship from Gallagher has been great, it has allowed us to have a training kit for the girls to wear.
“They love the kit and being part of WTFC U12 Girls.
“The girls are incredibly grateful for the support.”

4Couture reaffirms commitment to Real Living Wage
Ferndown-based business 4Couture has been accredited as a Real Living Wage employer.

It means everyone working at the supplier of corporate clothing, workwear and branded promotional merchandise will receive at least a minimum hourly wage of £10.90.
This is higher than the government minimum for over 23s, which currently stands at £9.50 per hour.
Although accreditation is the latest development, Lisa Morelli, Founder and CEO, said the business had been paying its employees higher than the minimum wage since the company was incorporated 20 years ago.

Lisa, pictured left, said: “Looking after our team has always been a priority for us as they really are the heart of our business.
“Since the beginning back in 2003, we’ve always prioritised our employees and paying them a decent wage is just one of the ways we recognise their importance.
“We’re proud to have this commitment recognised by the Living Wage Foundation and we’re delighted to become part of the Living Wage Community.”
Since 2011, the Living Wage movement has delivered a pay rise to almost 400,000 people and helped put an extra £2 billion into the pockets of low-paid workers.

Katherine Chapman, Director of the Living Wage Foundation, pictured right, said: “We’re delighted that 4Couture has joined the movement of more than 11,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on.
“They join thousands of small businesses, as well as household names such as Burberry, Barclays, Everton Football Club and many more.
“These businesses recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they, like 4Couture, believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.”
