Bournemouth Pier’s recently unveiled high-definition LED screen has been a hit among companies looking to advertise in the town.
The iconic landmark, known for its 160-year history, is now drawing the attention of international giants like Coca-Cola, Schweppes, and Decathlon, along with regional names such as United Taxis and Bournemouth One.
James Balcazar, Marketing Manager at Adventure Attractions, which operates the pier, highlighted the appeal: “This massive screen offers a unique advertising opportunity in one of the UK’s most popular seaside destinations – Bournemouth’s answer to Piccadilly Circus or Times Square!”
Balcazar added: “The big names we are attracting reflect Bournemouth Pier’s status as a major stage for businesses, giving them a unique chance to reach millions of visitors and an incredibly diverse audience.”
The LED screen, located at the top of Bournemouth Pier, is 8.88m tall and 2.88m wide, ensuring it can be seen from the beach, nearby cliffs, and the surrounding areas.
Vilma Pilipuityte, Decathlon’s Store Manager in Poole, commented on the partnership: “This platform isn’t just about advertising; it’s about connecting with millions of visitors in a truly iconic setting. At Decathlon, we aim to inspire people through sport, and the visibility offered by Bournemouth Pier’s LED screen is the perfect way to bring our mission to life.”
Simone Ippolito, Director of the Dorset Wine Festival, also shared their excitement: “We’re thrilled to advertise the first ever wine festival in a castle on undoubtedly the best promotion screen on the south coast. Our festival will be seen by thousands on the promenade each day, boosting ticket sales.”
During normal hours, advertisements will appear at least 150 times per day, giving businesses ample opportunity to promote their brands. For more information on advertising, visit thebournemouthpier.com or contact the team directly.
