Bournemouth’s Castlepoint shopping centre has made big strides over the past year, attracting the likes of Nike, Hotel Chocolat and Holland & Barrett.

Castlepoint logoTo cap it all off, this month they’re launching a brand makeover to coincide with the centre’s 20th birthday – and one year since new ownership took charge.

With that comes a new logo, drawing inspiration from the physical architecture of Castlepoint and its central role within the local community.

The refreshed design features the two ‘wings’ of the building, which meet in the middle to form the ‘point’ in Castlepoint.

Onsite, the team have also introduced fresh signage and wayfinding to make it easier for visitors to ‘get to the point’.

David PickettDavid Pickett, Centre Manager for Castlepoint commented: “Castlepoint has changed a lot in the last year – we’ve been working hard to attract really big brands.

“Meanwhile, Mountain Warehouse is trading brilliantly, having launched its largest ever UK store last winter.

“And there are a number of stores in the wings, agreeing terms that we hope will bring them to the mix in 2024.

“Our new brand not only embodies the history of Castlepoint, but also symbolises the tremendous progress achieved in the past year, as well as our aspirations for the future.

“It’s getting more and more exciting by the day!”

Art installation of the number 20 outside Castlepoint centre Last week’s 20th birthday celebrations treated visitors to activities, gifts and discounts, all soundtracked by live music.

Local influencer Scarlett Bakes Cakes (@scarlettbakescakes on Instagram) was on hand to supply her signature cupcakes, while guests got stuck into the Buttons & Bows Craft Fair.

Students from Arts University Bournemouth also contributed a larger-than-life ‘20’ installation for the occasion.

With the festivities now wrapped up, the future is looking bright for Castlepoint as they work to channel further investment into the centre over the coming months and years.
