A software company is creating a bespoke recipe book as part of its fundraising activities for the NHS – and it needs your help.

Pro2col is inviting all food lovers, chefs, local restaurants and cafes in the Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch area to submit their unique recipe.

The cookbook will also include recipes from NHS frontline workers.

Over the next three months, Pro2col is raising funds for University Hospitals Dorset NHS charity.

It hopes the recipe book will help local businesses as well.

After the forced closure of many eateries, the cookbook is being seen as a way to celebrate the fine dishes available.

All proceeds will be donated to University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity.

Karen Smith, the charity’s Fundraising Manager, pictured left, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have the support of Pro2col.

“University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity is delighted that as businesses resume activity, they are creating innovative ways to support us.

“The recipe book is a fantastic initiative and the funds will directly benefit our staff and wellbeing fund.”

Pro2col, which specialises in managed file transfers and was founded by James Lewis, pictured right, in 2003, upgraded to a 1,500 sq ft office in Christchurch last year, three times the size of its former premises in Tuckton.

Charities helped by the company in 2020 included the Willow Foundation and Southbourne and Christchurch Food Banks while a large donation of essential items were sent to Little John’s House, a charity for children in Romania.

Pro2col also gave away more than $40,000 worth of free training to help with continued learning and career development, supported beach cleans and took part in charity runs raising over £2,000.

Since it was founded Pro2col has delivered file transfer solutions to over 800 customers in more than 30 countries throughout the UK, mainland Europe and North America.
