Company specialising in the cloud extends global reach with data centres Down Under

A Bournemouth-based provider of public and private cloud solutions for business has expanded its global reach with two new cloud data centres in Australia.

Innovate’s new facilities in Sydney and Melbourne join existing data centres in Manchester, Newbury and Slough in the UK and Frankfurt in Germany.

There are also further expansion plans for new data centres in the USA.

David Pape, Founder and Director at Innovate said:  “We are really excited by this expansion in our global service provision.

“The opportunity to expand into the Asia-Pacific (APAC) market arose from a combination of growing demands from our expanding customer base for global service delivery, as well as our own desire to improve our end user experiences across APAC and to ensure that we have the infrastructure to deliver excellent cloud services across the globe, now and in the future.”

News of the expansion came as Innovate launched its new cloud based business services brand called Continuous (www.continuous.co.uk).

It provides a broad range of modular business IT services from the cloud, making them cost efficient and rapidly scalable.

David, pictured left, said: “We took a decision a few years back to move from traditional IT services into the cloud services market and have not looked back since.

“This is most definitely an industry for the future and we are already seeing the benefits of our investment as our customer base grows strongly and we move into new sectors and regions.

“We will continue to invest in emerging technology and new markets to offer our customers the benefit of one of the most stable and advanced cloud platforms in the industry.

“We feel we now have a great product range to offer and with these new data centres in place, we will also have a great opportunity to grow Down Under.”

David, who was born and brought up in Poole, founded Innovate 17 years ago, initially as an IT services company supporting customers with their business IT infrastructure.

In 2010 Innovate started developing its own cloud infrastructure and, two years later, launched its cloud platform called Cloud9.

This allowed customers to start divesting themselves of costly internal equipment, such as servers, routers and environmental control infrastructure, and migrate their business systems to the cloud.

The global cloud services market is expected to grow by up to 25 per cent annually over the next five years, mostly in the emerging markets of the Far East.

A team of ten cloud engineers and business support staff work at Innovate’s headquarters at Midland House in Poole Road, Bournemouth.

John Richardson, Marketing Manager, said: “We very much see ourselves as part of the dynamic Bournemouth technology community.

“We are proud of the fact that Bournemouth has had the highest number of tech start-ups outside of London.

“We are fortunate to be a growing company in a growing market.

“We will be looking to grow more in the coming years.”
