The cream of Dorset’s tourism businesses – from hotels and cafés to museums and caravan parks – are through to the finals of this year’s Dorset Tourism Awards.

A total of 62 finalists have been confirmed after five months of judging with the winners of gold, silver and bronze awards set to be revealed at Weymouth Pavilion on February 1, 2024.

Three special awards – Winner of Winners, Unsung Hero and Future of Hospitality – will also be announced and eight businesses will be rewarded with ‘commended’ status.

The successful businesses in most categories will be fast tracked into the South West Tourism Excellence Awards in March 2024.

They may also be invited to represent Dorset in the 2024 national VisitEngland Awards.

The Dorset Tourism Awards are now in their 11th year with changes every year to categories and criteria, reflecting the constant innovation and reinvention across the industry.

Robin Barker, Awards Organiser, of Services for Tourism, said: “I well remember the audience reaction at the very first Dorset Tourism Awards.

“Delight that Dorset, at last, had an awards scheme of their own.

“After the tough few years the industry has been through I fully expect more delight in February.

“Many congratulations to everyone.”
