A full-service creative agency has won its first-ever Drum Award for the Digital Industries (DADI) for a high performing ‘A-Z of Pet Parenting’ campaign for insurance giant Petplan.
Christchurch-based CHS beat off stiff competition from Admiral, Intuit QuickBooks and its own ‘Its Payback Time’ campaign for HSBC UK to win the top prize in the Financial Services category.

The A-Z of Pet Parenting communicated the extra value that Petplan can bring to pet owners, in turn helping to raise awareness of the brand, boost consideration of the product and drive conversions.
The campaign positioned Petplan as the go-to destination for pet advice, utilising an eye-catching creative that was bright, warm and demonstrated that Petplan’s values extend far beyond financial services.

A phased media plan was used to test different types of messaging, and acquisition targets were comprehensively exceeded.
The Drum is Europe’s largest media and marketing website, attracting more than 1.4m unique users.
It also have over 200,000 social followers.
With The Drum’s support, the awards are marketed and promoted to their followers giving CHS access to their worldwide audience.

Chris Southgate, MD at CHS, pictured right, said: “We’re incredibly proud of this campaign.
“Not just because of the fantastic results, or even the industry recognition it’s garnered, but because of how many of the CHS team were able to get involved across the account management, planning, creative, copy, design, video, photography and digital production teams.
“If there was ever an opportunity to showcase what ‘full-service’ really means, this is it.
“As the pet experts, Petplan are uniquely placed not just to help their customers insure the animals they love, but to help them on their journeys as pet parents.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to bring to life an almost encyclopaedic library of content to share with pet owners across the country.
“We are so pleased it has been recognised as such with such a prestigious award.”
CHS employs more than 50 people.
Services include catalogue production, strategic planning, branding and integrated campaigns that combine videography, photography, direct marketing, web design and advertising.
