Hayeswood School in Wimborne enjoyed another successful summer fair this year – and there was even more reason to celebrate as they marked their 50th anniversary.
More than 300 current and former pupils brought their families along to help raise funds for the school’s various programmes and initiatives, all with the support of Poole-based event sponsors Wyatt Homes.
They were treated on the day to a barbeque, bouncy castle, circus performances, workshops, and carnival games, with plenty of prizes up for grabs.
Mrs Staddon, Headteacher at Hayeswood First School, said: “A year’s worth of planning and hard work by the Hayeswood School Association culminated in a fantastic Summer Fair.
“Barbeque aromas permeated the grounds and really added to the whole experience, courtesy of sponsorship from Wyatt Homes.
“The Summer Fair is a significant event in the school calendar and funds from this will enable the school to purchase more books for our new phonics scheme and get children reading.”
With active developments across Dorset, Somerset, and Hampshire, Wyatt Homes also has a couple of schemes in Wimborne.
Managing Director Shaun Pettitt added: “We’re delighted to extend our support to Hayeswood First School’s Summer Fair.
“As a local housebuilder, it brings us immense joy to contribute to celebrating the school’s 50th anniversary.
“We take pride in witnessing the community flourish through initiatives like this.”
