A digital health company based in Bournemouth has been named as the regional winner of the Super Connect for Good competition.
my mhealth was recognised as the best emerging tech scale-up in the South, bringing positive social change and enhancing people’s lives through technology.

It was one of eight regional winners across the UK and Ireland in the contest run by Hays and Empact Ventures.
my mhealth has developed a platform delivering a range of digital therapeutics to patients with various health conditions.
The platform includes condition-specific, NHS approved apps for people living with chronic obstructive lung disease (COPD), asthma, diabetes, heart disease and Covid-19.
It allows patients to access vital interventions, including structured education and rehabilitation services, around the clock.
This has been particularly valuable due to many face-to-face services being stopped because of Covid-19.

my mhealth is developing a new app for the platform called mySurgery, aimed at preventing post-operative complications in patients undergoing major elective surgery and supporting them through to full recovery.
As a regional winner, my mhealth receives £4,000 worth of prizes, including online training with Hays Rise, free legal advice from Linkilaw and ten super connections from Empact Ventures, among a variety of other benefits.

Dr Harry Thirkettle, Head of Operations, pictured left, said the my mhealth team were proud to be named regional winner.
He added: “This great initiative has been an opportunity to showcase our digital therapeutics platform and the hard work we have been doing to support the NHS during these trying times.
“We are now using our powerful platform to build a new app, mySurgery, which will help people get ready for major surgery, and help them to reduce their risk of problems in their recovery.”

Martin Pardey, pictured right, Business Director at Hays and one of the judges for the competition, said: “The quality of applications was strong across the whole region.
“Our regional winner, my mhealth, has an excellent growing business that is clearly doing ‘tech for good’ and whose offering is very relevant in the current climate.”

Kosta Mavroulakis, pictured left, Founder & CEO, Empact Ventures, added: “It was fantastic to receive such high-quality applications from across the South.
“We thank our regional judges from Hays, Quilter plc, Metomic, the University of Sussex, BCP Council and Ordnance Survey for volunteering their time.
“my mhealth deserved their place as the regional winner for the South who are already helping many patients to self-manage their conditions from asthma to heart disease in an effective way.”
