New head office for MSP Capital near Poole Quay
Goadsby Commercial and Waters Chartered Surveyors have successfully sourced a new head office for MSP Capital close to Poole Quay.
Strata House is in a prominent position on the corner of Castle Street and Strand Street, approximately 90m from Poole Quay and 60m from Poole High Street.
The premises are on three storeys and MSP Capital is occupying approximately 90 per cent of the building, covering 7,400 sq ft.
Goadsby Commercial also manage the building on behalf of the landlord and its Business Space and Management Departments worked closely together to conclude the letting.

The business, which will trade as Café 83, was sold as a going concern with fully fitted shop, kitchen and al-fresco garden dining area.

“Rebecca previously worked in both the catering and publishing industries.
“She confirmed that the coffee shop will continue to provide high quality homemade cuisine including salads, paninis, sandwiches and cakes with an emphasis on high quality friendly service.”
Unit 7 was let to Harbour Heating, aiding its expansion.
The premises of approximately 723 sq ft included two parking spaces.
Unit 8, also about 723 sq ft with two parking spaces, was let to Dorset Blind Association which needed a small industrial/warehouse premises for the storage of excess goods from its growing charity shop chain.

Facility services group to recruit five new apprentices
Five trainees are to be recruited by Unique Group after a successful year for the Poole-based business with new project wins and maintenance clients.
Four of the apprentices will be fire and security technicians while the fifth is a trainee electrician.
Unique currently employs around 40 staff and specialises in fire protection, smart homes, electrical, mechanical and property solutions.
It says the trainee positions are a great opportunity for students – waiting for exam results after an extremely disrupted year – with the chance to get paid while learning “in an exciting and forward thinking company”.
The apprenticeships are supported by Yeovil and Bournemouth & Poole Colleges with industry recognised NVQ qualifications at the end of the courses.
Successful candidates will work with several senior members of staff on a varied number of different client projects.
They will be involved with both new installations and routine service calls.

Home care Co-Founder and MD receives first-ever gold award
The first-ever Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care Gold Award has been presented to the Co-Founder and MD of a home care company operating in Dorset.
Camille Leavold, of Abbots Care, received the award in a surprise visit by Professor Deborah Sturdy OBE, Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care in England at the Department of Health and Social Care.
The awards, which were officially launched in May, mirror the Chief Nursing Officer Ruth May’s awards for the NHS.
Presented as gold and silver awards, they represent an important step towards bringing recognition in line with the NHS workforce, highlighting the commitment of the adult social care workforce.
The gold award recognises the exceptional contribution by an individual with a distinguished career in nursing or social care.

Camille said: “I am sincerely delighted and grateful to have received this award.
“I love working to help support society’s most vulnerable people by providing them with the support they need to remain living at home.”
Professor Sturdy said the award was “going to someone who has put so much hard-work and dedication into developing a service to provide care for those who need it most.”
She added: “Camille continues to be an inspiring leader to all those around her, and across the homecare sector nationally, and has helped to develop staff as they take on her support and learnings to become managers themselves.”
Minister for Care, Helen Whately said: “I want to offer a big congratulations to Camille, who is hugely deserving of this first award.
“The social care workforce is full of inspiring leaders, especially those who have helped and supported staff during one of the most challenging years they will ever experience.”
Founded in 1995, Abbots Care offers a wide range of home care services for children and adults in four counties, including Dorset.
They include respite, live-in, domiciliary and dementia care as well as complex healthcare, companion service, care for children, learning disability care and emergency home care.
The home care services are rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
