Hendy Lotus Poole unveils new Emira sports car
Hendy customers in Dorset were among the first in the country to see the brand-new sports car from Lotus with the unveiling of the Emira at Hendy Lotus in Poole.
Chris Amey, Hendy’s Lotus Poole Head of Business said those at the launch had been impressed with the Lotus Emira V6 First Edition which will retail at just under £76,000.

He said: “It was great to be able to showcase this incredible new car to invited guests in person rather than a virtual launch.
“The feedback from customers was extremely positive and we have already taken the first orders for the new car.
“This car has captured the imagination of existing Lotus owners and those looking at a Lotus for the first time.”

Simon Clare, Lotus Executive Director of Marketing, and Scott Walker, UK Sales Manager, joined the Hendy team for the unveiling and outlined some of the key features of the new car.
Simon said the unveiling of the Emira marked the start of a new journey for Lotus and said he was delighted to be able to show Hendy customers the new car.
He described the Emira as one of the most beautiful cars in the world.

The Emira is an all-new mid-engine premium sports car which, Scott said, has attracted unprecedented demand since its launch.
He said it is the first car from Lotus to truly be an everyday car and that the V6 First Edition is the most accomplished car ever made by Lotus.
The First Edition comes in one of six vibrant paint colours including Seneca Blue – which was seen at the car’s unveiling at Hendy Lotus Poole.

New service as business invests in top-of-the-range ID printer
Investing more than £3,000 in new kit has allowed a Dorset printer to offer a new service.
Cheap Printing Dorset, in Blandford Forum, is now able to provide bespoke, tamperproof ID cards with additional options such as electronic chips and magnetic strips.
It follows the purchase of the company’s first Fargo HDP 5000, a top-of-the-range ID printer.
Some of the money for the investment came from Dorset Growth Hub’s Recovery Grant funding.

Business owner, Bryan Benjafield, pictured, said that the need for change and the ability to diversify had been the secret ingredient to survival during the challenging times of the last 18 months.
He said: “This investment will allow our customers to have a greater sense of security, accountability, and efficiency.
“In situations where people need to feel safe such as schools, nursing homes, universities, and at events, knowing who is coming and going is critical.
“Cheap Printing Dorset can also offer full encoding of chips and magnetic strips meaning we can also offer the types of plastic cards you see in hotels for room cards or membership passes at health clubs.
“Business obviously slowed in March 2020 when the pandemic hit, and we continued with a reduced workforce, making use of the government’s furlough scheme, with a shift to producing more informational print and signage about restrictions and precautions in place.
“We also supported those businesses continuing to trade such as the educational and healthcare sectors.
“We would see spikes of work whenever certain restrictions were lifted, but generally businesses were still cautious about spending too much money in case restrictions were put in place again.
“We saw this as an opportunity for us to offer an additional service, particularly in sectors which will always be required.”
The holographic HDP film used makes the ID cards tamperproof meaning any attempt to peel the layers deems the cards unusable.
The printer uses 24-bit colour, providing up to 16.7m colour options.
All data is eradicated as soon as the item is printed to fall in line with current GDPR compliance.
Cheap Printing Dorset was established in 2012 and offers a full range of printed products fom business stationery, flyers and leaflets to brochures, banners, signage and workwear.
