Passenger takes home gold at UK App Awards
Passenger, the Westbourne-based public transport app and website provider, is celebrating another milestone achievement for its myTrip app.
It’s been named ‘Travel App of the Year’ at the 2021 UK App Awards.

myTrip, an affordable digital ticketing and bus tracking app solution for smaller bus operators, was up against five other finalists in the awards, which celebrate and recognise excellence in UK apps.
Following a robust judging period by an influential panel of industry experts, myTrip was announced as winner during the virtual awards ceremony.
Its latest success follows a strong 12-month period for myTrip.
Fifty bus operators across the UK were signed up within the space of nine months, driving total ticket revenues of more than £600,000 and seeing over 50,000 monthly active users – a figure which is increasing by 22 per cent month-on-month.

Tom Quay, CEO at Passenger, pictured right, said: “After launching little over a year ago, myTrip has proven a lifeline for many smaller bus operators who have been hit hard by the pandemic, providing a simple, affordable way to upgrade their services and make them appealing to today’s modern traveller.
“This award is testament to all the hard work our brilliant team has done to make myTrip into the success it is today.
“We look forward to building on myTrip’s exceptional performance in the new year and introducing more operators to its game-changing benefits.”

The CRUMBS Project launches new website
The CRUMBS Project, the Bournemouth-based disability training charity, has launched a new website.
It’s designed to help people learn more about the training and development programmes provided to disadvantaged adults, helping them to learn new skills aimed at promoting employment and independence.

The website features a fresh look, matching the charity’s recently updated branding with a clear structure, improved functionality and easy access to information for those wanting to know more about the charity and the support it provides.

Professor Peter A Jones, pictured left, Chair of The CRUMBS Project said: “We are really delighted to be launching our new website which gives us a fantastic platform to share information about our training programmes and an opportunity to thank those organisations and people who support our charitable aims.
“The internet is an important source of new enquiries for us and we hope we have created a clear and informative site for anyone looking for information about The CRUMBS Project.
“I’d like to say thank you to our friends at local web designers Brainstormers who worked hard to support us in creating the new site which is looking fantastic.”
