Dorset motorists among first to experience new car hire service
Dorset has been chosen as a pilot area for a brand new car hire service which is looking to capitalise on increased demand from motorists wanting short term car use.
Karzoom has joined forces with Hendy Group to offer demonstrator vehicles from the group’s MG, Hyundai, Renault, Dacia, ŠKODA, Nissan and Toyota fleets in Bournemouth and Poole.
It’s a massive change from the traditional car hire operation which would own its own fleet.
Mark Busby, Hendy’s Commercial Director, pictured left, said: “This is a totally new way for motorists to hire a car,
“Motorists will be able to hire one of our demonstrator vehicles giving them an almost brand new car and at easy to access locations in the area.
“This partnership means we can provide our local communities with a unique, new way to access car hire.
“We know that customer mobility needs are constantly evolving and with this new service we can deliver the right solutions to drivers.”
Motorists can hire a car from one day to 60 days with all cars available on a fully-inclusive basis and typically less than a year old.
Everything can quickly and easily be booked online and collected from a driver’s selected Hendy dealership or from the customer’s chosen pick up point, such as outside Bournemouth or Poole train station.

BU rises 18 places in Complete University Guide
Bournemouth University has risen 18 places to 68th in the Complete University Guide rankings 2022.
The rankings use measures such as entry standards, student satisfaction and graduate prospects to rank UK universities, with BU rising in the 2022 table.
Professor John Vinney, Vice-Chancellor of Bournemouth University, pictured left, said: “I am proud of our BU community, and this rise is a recognition for all their hard work and dedication, especially through what has been an unprecedented last year.
“My thanks go to all staff for their work, as well as to our wonderful students, and members of the BU community for working together to inspire learning, advance knowledge and enrich society.”
The latest rankings build on other recent accolades for the university, including a 95th place in the THE Young University 2020 rankings, which lists universities worldwide under 50 years of age.
THE Impact rankings 2021, which looks at university performance against the UN Sustainable Development goals, also highly-ranked BU, placing it 74th out of 1,115 universities included in the global rankings.

Inspire welcomes two new members to its growing team
South Coast business and tax advisory firm, Inspire, has welcomed two new members of the team strengthening its client services and support teams.
Nicole Davidson, pictured above, left, joins as Client Services Adviser and Charlotte Candy is appointed to the support team in a new role as Team Administrator.
Both form part of the 30-strong team based at Inspire’s offices on Commercial Road in Poole.
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Nicole began her accountancy career six years ago working at a local firm and passed her final ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualifications in 2020.
During this time she gained valuable experience working across a range of audit, accounts and advisory projects for blue chip clients.
Nicole will be working in Inspire’s Client Services team, delivering compliance, advisory and tax project work across the firm’s entrepreneurial client base.
When she’s not working, Nicole, who lives in Poole, enjoys yoga and reading.
Charlotte recently re-located to Poole, following five years working in various customer services roles, latterly based in London.
She joins Inspire’s eight-strong support team, working across a range of administration, marketing, events and IT activities.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys exploring the local area and spending time on the water in her kayak.
