Dorset causes among beneficiaries of £293k fund for South West charities from NFU Mutual

The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust also received funding through the Agency Giving Fund.

Staff at rural insurer NFU Mutual have nominated 56 charities across the South West to receive a combined donation of £292,900 as part of the firm’s Agency Giving Fund.

Among them were Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Dorset County Hospital Charity, Ducks & Drakes Cancer Trust in Hilton and Sherborne Food Bank.

Roz Hills, regional manager at NFU Mutual, said: “Charities like these are making a wonderful difference to our communities in these challenging times.

“We’re proud that our agents have nominated a wide range of local causes across the region to benefit from NFU Mutual’s national fund.”

With more than 280 locations nationwide, NFU Mutual’s latest Agency Giving Fund totalled £1.92 million.
