“This is an unbelievable opportunity to represent our small design agency on the world stage.”

The words of Dorset’s own Tom Parsons, who’s been chosen as a judge for next year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) – the biggest event on the tech calendar.

Held in Las Vegas next January, CES 2025 will host the latest innovations in television, computers, cars, smart home gadgets and more.

And Tom will be there judging the best the event has to offer, alongside representatives from the likes of Apple, Meta, Google, Amazon and the BBC.

An alum of Bournemouth University – where he studied product design – Tom began his career at Dyson, developing house-cleaning robots among other top-secret projects.

In 2018 he went on to found Aetha Design, a product design consultancy based on Poole Quay which helps brands take their products from concept to manufacture.

He and his team have worked with backpack makers Osprey Packs and local artist Stuart Semple, building everything from sustainable drinks bottles to AI-powered digital cameras.

Tom also heads up Times Eyewear, a sunglasses brand which span out from Aetha, alongside fellow co-founder Jamie James.

He’s now looking forward to joining around 130,000 guests and 3,500 exhibitors at CES next year.
