Boost your mood by ensuring you’re eating the right food.

Bournemouth’s The Green House Hotel is hosting a ‘Good Mood Food’ event in collaboration with award-winning celebrity nutritionist and author, Barbara Cox, tomorrow, Friday.

The evening is about learning the principles of an anti-inflammatory diet while helping to boost physical and mental health.

Barbara, who has been dubbed Dorset’s ‘Wonder Woman’, will be giving an insight into which ingredients are mood boosting as well as guiding everyone attending to make the right choices to fuel their wellbeing in 2020.

She will start the event by talking through her ’10 Steps to achieving a positive mental and physical wellbeing for 2020.’

Guests will then enjoy a five course tasting menu compiled by Barbara and Andy Hilton, Head Chef at the hotel’s restaurant, The Arbor.

Each course will contain a key mood boosting ingredient, from fresh ginger to shiitake mushrooms.

Barbara will explain how the guests will benefit from these transformational foods as well as providing all attendees recipes they can try themselves at home.

Barbara said: “I’m so pleased to be working with The Green House Hotel on this mood boosting event.

“It will be perfect for those wishing to create a healthy balance for 2020 and kick start the new decade feeling positive, energetic and inspired.

“I strongly believe that what you put in your body can affect how you feel mentally, so injecting some fresh and stimulating ingredients into your meals will benefit both the body and the mind.”

Olivia O’Sullivan, General Manager, The Green House Hotel, said: “Both a healthy body and mind is very much at the forefront of everyone’s minds these days, and most people are curious about the health benefits in certain foods.

“Barbara will also be working with us in 2020 and creating some delicious breakfast options for our morning buffet including delicious overnight oats and energising shots of ginger.

“Plans for exciting workshops around this theme are also in the mix.

“Working with Barbara means that we can now take care of our guests’ health holistically and in line with our eco-friendly ethos.”

The ‘Good Mood Food’ event is in The Arbor Restaurant at The Green House Hotel.
