Poole BID spearheads ‘egg-citing’ Easter window display contest

Following the success of the inaugural Poole Christmas Window Display Competition, the town’s Business Improvement District (BID) is spearheading a new contest.

This time it’s the Poole Easter Window Display Competition.

Businesses across the district have been invited to take part in the fun, creative promotion.

Jacqui Rock, Poole BID Lead, pictured left, said: “We want to build on the success of Christmas 2021 and look to continue to put Poole High Street and Quay on the map for visitors coming into the area by seeing the creative side of our businesses, visit the variety of shops, restaurants and cafés Poole has to offer and to get into the spirit of Easter.

“We will be running this competition during the rest of 2022, which will cover the Platinum Jubilee, Halloween and Christmas and look forward to seeing this event build as we progress throughout the year and beyond.”

Voting takes place next week with the shop winner receiving a £300 prize after being announced on Friday April 22.

“Barratt Homes continue to support our school and we’re very grateful for this special donation.

“The children’s smiles say it all.”

Anthony Dimmick, Barratt Homes Community Liaison Manager, said: “We are committed to helping the communities we develop in, and what better way to show local children our support, than with their very own chocolate surprise.”

Barratt Homes has offered help to a number of local schools and organisations which improve the quality of life of those living in the region, as part of the Barratt Homes Community Fund.

The housebuilder is bringing new homes across Dorset, including  Quarter Jack Park in Wimborne and Compass Point in Swanage.

One of the largest and longest-running open air art displays in the country returns to Bournemouth this Easter.

The Art & Makers Market is running a pop-up market from tomorrow, Friday April 15, to Easter Sunday from 10am – 5pm.
