ECOllective, which offers a space for ethical businesses, charities and NGOs to connect, is getting ready to host its first off-grid, powered down ethical networking event.
The event, held at Grounded Community’s Secret Garden on Thursday 27 July at 3pm, will feature three guest speakers who are experts in the world of sustainability as well as offering a chance for conversation and networking.
This is the third time ECOllective, founded by ethical PR agency Warrior Agency, will meet, with the powered down aspect coming from a lack of projects or other technical gadgets.

“We can’t wait to host our third ECOllective event, coming to a beautiful new venue with a twist,” said Lizzie McManus, Founder of Warrior Agency.
“Our July event will be a completely ‘powered down’, outdoors event, which will really enhance the natural beauty of the venue and help to minimise the carbon footprint of the event!
“We’ve got some amazing speakers lined up and it’s been really encouraging to see so many businesses and groups from our community coming together to share their passions for a more eco conscious way of doing business.”

Michael French, Grounded Community
The first speaker of the day is Michael French, the vision behind Grounded Community, a charity in Boscombe that teaches people to grow their own food and feed the community.
Michael will be talking about the journey of Grounded and how the 10 paid staff and more than 100 volunteers work regularly to make their goals a reality.
Following Michael is Sian Louise, Founder of Obvs Skincare, a multi-award-winning skincare brand that specialises in effective, natural and organic solutions for problem skin. Sian will be sharing her brand journey and her experience of becoming a sustainable brand.

The day’s final speaker is John Burton, Founder and Creative Director of Pretty Clever Studio, Dorset’s first, and currently only, B Corp design studio who will walk attendees through how to balance branding purpose and profit.
Following talks from the guest speakers, there will be time and space for guests to ask questions directly to the speakers as well as informal networking with refreshments and delicious canapés made by fabulous holistic chef, Patricia Nunes.

Lizzie added “The last two events have been such a huge success, and we can’t wait to see how ECOllective continues to grow. Tickets are only £10 and we’re continuing to offer 50% off for charities too so hopefully it’s affordable and accessible to all types of organisations across the conurbation and beyond!”
