A spellbinding new show with a combination of stunning horses, stunt riders and plenty of mesmerising tricks is to be showcased at this year’s Sandpolo weekend.
‘Trick Riding’, the art of performing stunts and gymnastic manoeuvres on the back of a galloping horse, is regarded as one of the most adrenaline fuelled horseback activities.

Now the highly skilled ponies and riders are set to wow the crowds with their acrobatic skills, a new addition to the polo matches across the two-day Sandbanks weekend.
Karl Ude Martinez, a well-known polo commentator and horseman, created the action-packed trick riding show.
It was originally performed by Cossacks as a warfare battle tactic.

Karl will bring the professional team of trick riders, stuntmen, and specially trained horses to the Dorset coast for the first time to showcase their magnificent high-octane stunt show on horseback, and to wow the Sandpolo spectators.

Johnny Wheeler, pictured left, Sandpolo Director and Founder, said: ‘This is now year 16, and we are always keen to bring something fresh to the event that will inspire our guests – it is what makes Sandpolo the most unique equestrian event in the country.
“We have the high-energy polo action, the polo (vs) 4×4 car race, and now a thrilling stunt show on horseback to complete the afternoon’s entertainment itinerary each day.”
Tickets for Sandpolo Weekend on Friday July 7 and Saturday July 8 are available on the Sandpolo website at sandpolo.com
