Experienced accountant joins Lewis-Manning Hospice Care as new finance director

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care has welcomed Russell Shivas as its new Director of Finance and Operations.

Russell, who has over 30 years of experience as an accountant, most recently held the role of Vice President of Finance and Operations at Durable UK Ltd. He will now bring his extensive expertise to support the hospice in its mission to assist people with life-limiting illnesses.

Speaking about his new role, Russell said: “I’m loving my new role at Lewis-Manning, supporting those with life-limiting illnesses. I’m looking forward to being of value and worth and helping to develop the hospice.

“I’ve never worked in the charity sector before and I’m enjoying learning lots of new things. It’s a great environment to be in, an excellent team of staff, and there’s a good work/life balance too.”

CEO Clare Gallie shared her enthusiasm about the new appointment, saying: “A warm welcome to Russell, his experience and support will be invaluable to our team.”
