Ken Parke Planning Consultants (KPPC) has welcomed experienced town planner Jenny James to the team.
Jenny joins the nine-strong Bournemouth-based practice as an associate planning consultant.
KPPC, which celebrated its 21st anniversary this year, supports clients nationwide in commercial and residential projects.
Chief executive Ken Parke, who founded KPPC with chief financial officer Angela in 2003, said: “Jenny is an experienced and richly talented planning professional.
“She’s a valuable member of our team who’s fitted in very well, and her appointment will allow us to step up our strategic growth plans in the South and further afield.
“We look forward to seeing Jenny develop her career with KPPC and contribute to the future success of the company as we continue to support our clients across a range of planning sectors with a focus upon the commercial and residential markets.”
Jenny is an experienced town planner working towards her chartered status with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
She holds a bachelor’s in industrial design from Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand, and a master’s in planning policy and practice from London South Bank University.
She’s worked in planning roles for local authorities in London and the South East, as well as for a residential developer in the private sector.
Jenny said: “KPPC is a great company where everyone has made me feel very welcome.
“There’s a supportive culture and incredible depth of experience and professionalism across the whole team, which has allowed me to settle in easily.
“I enjoy working in the private sector because of the creativity it allows, especially at KPPC where there are a wide range of projects from major developments through to smaller schemes to become involved in.”
When not at work, Jenny enjoys paddleboarding, camping and exploring the local area.
She previously lived in London, but now resides in Bournemouth with her husband and their two children.
“Working in Dorset at KPPC allows us to have a wonderful lifestyle with beaches, the countryside of the New Forest and rich culture on our doorstep,” Jenny added.
KPPC is seeking further qualified RTPI chartered planners, preferably with at least two years of private practice experience.
