Fast-growing noodle takeaway business opens its sixth shop just 16 months after first outlet

A fast-growing takeaway business which began life in Dorset just 16 months ago has expanded into London.

Nuudle Bar was started by Tak Ho, a chef in oriental restaurants for over 20 years, who wanted to bring a new Asian fusion concept to noodle lovers.

He designed a new dining experience, allowing customers to create their very own noodle meal with thousands of potential combinations.

The first Nuudle Bar opened its takeaway doors in Exeter Road, Bournemouth, in December 2019.

Since then shops have opened in Poole, Southampton, Iford and Winchester.

The latest outlet is in Shoreditch.

Customers can choose from eight types of noodles, 12 toppings, eight cooking styles and 12,000 combinations.

The concept is proving a hit with annual revenue expected to grow to £3m this year.

Nathan Cuervo, Director, pictured left, said: “Shoreditch is a big jump for us.

“Our concept is ‘fresh food fast.’

“We target areas that have a large student population. Bournemouth, Southampton and Winchester fit this demographic perfectly.

“London is a completely different ball game for us.

“If Shoreditch is successful then we’ll look to expand our London operation with an additional one or two shops before moving to other university cities such as Bristol and Manchester.

“We’re looking to employ 100 people and have an  annual revenue of £5m.

“We’re super excited to get this off the ground in Shoreditch and give people the full Nuudle Bar experience.”
