A father and son have landed twin promotions at a Bournemouth company.
Drewlec Electrical Services, part of the Drewitt Group, has promoted Kevin Hand and his son, Nick, to new positions.
Kevin, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the electrical industry, joined the company last year as an approved electrician and has now been appointed as Qualifying Supervisor.
In his new role, he will be responsible for technical standards and the quality of Drewlec’s electrical installation work.
Nick began his career with Drewlec as a Trainee Contracts Manager in 2011.
He’s now been promoted to Estimator and Contracts Manager following the completion of a Higher National Diploma in construction.
In his management role, Nick’s responsibilities include estimating and preparing quotations, managing projects from inception to final account and liaising with clients day-to-day.
Richard Drewitt, Managing Director, The Drewitt Group, said: “We’re delighted to retain two excellent employees, who just happen to be father and son.
“The Drewitt Group is a family-run firm, with currently two family members directly involved in the business, and it’s great to attract other families to the business.
“As a company, we continually look at ways to improve the service we provide to our customers and seek to promote and appoint strong candidates that can deliver an exceptional service.”
Drewlec Electrical Services is a subsidiary of James Drewitt & Son Ltd and undertakes all types of electrical works including rewires, new installations, fire alarm design & installation, fire extinguisher maintenance and power monitoring services to the commercial, industrial and retail sectors.
