Come and hear the success stories of projects led by Bournemouth University (BU) students to support local social entrepreneurs.

A special event is held at BU next Wednesday, February 19, from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.

There’s free parking and refreshments but you need to reserve your free place at the workshop.

The final year students and businesses will be talking about the successes and lessons learnt from the business planning and digital marketing projects for local social entrepreneurs and other businesses.

Time has been set aside for questions, as well as the chance to register your interest in participating in similar projects where businesses stand to benefit from the expertise at the university through knowledge exchange projects led by students.

Sukanya Ayatakshi, BU’s Senior Academic in Entrepreneurship, pictured left, said: “We engaged with over two dozen businesses across the two faculties in supporting them with their business model/business planning needs and digital communications needs including creation in social media.

“In the UK we are seeing a shift towards the increase in the number of businesses that recognise themselves as socially focused businesses or organisations.”

Next week’s event is held in Fusion Building F305 (third floor), Talbot Campus, Bournemouth University.
