Three top contributors will be joining the next meeting of a forum which offers free support to social entrepreneurs and socially focused individuals.

After celebrating its first anniversary in June in lockdown, BU Social Entrepreneurs Forum (BUSEF) realigned its objectives.

It now runs free, focused workshops to help socially focused individuals and businesses navigate the tricky terrain they find themselves in.

The next meeting on October 9 will feature:

Linda Farrow, Director, Association of Sustainability Practitioners. A lifelong environmentalist, Linda, pictured left, will share her story of coping through the pandemic and the steps she is taking to safeguard and grow her business.

Nick Gregory, Operations Director at Dorset Growth Hub (DGH), pictured right. who will provide more information about the pandemic recovery support services offered by DGH to Dorset SMEs.

Claire Main, pictured left, Economic Development Officer at BCP Council and a champion of local businesses.

Dr Sukanya Ayatakshi-Endow, one of the founders of BUSEF, said: “From its very inception, in June 2019, BUSEF has offered a collaborative and inclusive space for social entrepreneurs to come together and learn from each other.

“We strongly value the role of social capital building and peer support in developing business growth.

“Now we want to take that a step further by launching our BUSEF Clinic in the October 9 session.

“We would like to welcome expressions of interest, via email, from social entrepreneurs and socially-interested individuals and businesses.

“They can use the forum as a clinic for their particular set of circumstances where the panel and experts in the audience will collectively aim to find solutions for them.

“From the entries we receive, we will select ONE case per workshop to focus our attention on the entrepreneur/organisation.”

To express your interest, please email Dr Sukanya Ayatakshi-Endow at [email protected].
